COSA Group is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for its contractors, employees and the general public.

COSA aims to be proactive in all aspects health and safety with emphasis on preventing incidents before they occur. At COSA we seek to achieve excellence in all aspects of workplace health and safety and to maintain systems and standards that enable us to be certified under AS/NZS 4801:2001.

At COSA to achieve AS 4801 accreditation we:
  • Comply with all State and Federal OHS Acts and Codes of Practice;
  • Conduct inspections of all plant and equipment prior to commencing works;
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance and servicing on all equipment;
  • Subject the cranes to annual independent scrutiny by CraneSafe assessors (Green Sticker certification);
  • Undertake thorough risk assessments prior to performing any task;
  • Conduct lift studies on larger lifts or where multiple cranes are involved; and
  • Employ qualified and experienced personal.

COSA can provide any OHS policy, procedure, insurance certificate or JHA on request.

Environment

COSA Group operates under an Environmental Management Plan that has been certified according to ISO 14001:2004. COSA acknowledge that the community today expect business’s to operate with a high degree of environmental stewardship and as such COSA is committed to using sustainable environmental practices and strives, at a minimum, to comply with all relevant environmental legislation.

Quality

Having been certified according to ISO 9001:2008 COSA maintains a Quality Management System that links the OHS, environment, operational and financial aspects of its business. COSA recognises that it is imperative to have robust document control systems and as such all policies, procedures, certifications, training and maintenance records along with the daily operational paper work including time sheets, plant dockets and JHA’s are all stored on our computer server.
